From an internship in Berlin to owning the payment surface of a food-delivery platform in nine markets.

  1. Frontend Developer

    Just Eat Takeaway.com · Amsterdam, Netherlands

    Sep 2023 → Present

    Global online food delivery marketplace in 20+ countries. Payments and checkout for the consumer web platform.

    • Integrated 15 payment methods across nine European markets — Apple Pay, Google Pay, Amazon Pay, PayPal, iDEAL and local bank schemes — covering saved cards, recurring payments and market-specific rules.
    • Founded a new payments frontend service as its first engineer: chose the stack, built the repository and CI foundations, and shipped the first release behind a feature flag.
    • Owned payment error monitoring for web: built the logging taxonomy mapping frontend payment failures to DataDog dashboards and alerts, aligned with iOS so both platforms alert consistently.
    • Led the team's recurring payment-conversion review — success rates by market, method and device — turning drops into prioritised engineering work.
    • Diagnosed and fixed high-impact checkout defects across frontend and backend, including an Apple Pay / Google Pay total-amount mismatch and a race condition that blocked Apple Pay for iOS 18 users.
    • Delivered features at scale with feature flags and A/B experiments, instrumenting analytics to measure payment-option and voucher behaviour in production.
    • Retired three legacy payment code paths without regressing checkout; wrote the checkout architecture review and onboarding docs now used across the department.
    • Built partner-facing invoicing — search, filters, bulk export, invoice preview — in a Vue 3 micro-frontend on a shared component library.

  2. Frontend Software Engineer

    • Developed and maintained React web interfaces for Greenbone's vulnerability management products in a cross-functional team.

    • Built the homepage and landing pages from scratch in React, Next.js and TypeScript, and maintained them in a cross-functional team.
    • Owned the offer stage of the loan application journey — the conversion-critical step where users compare and select a loan offer.
    • Acted as process lead for the team, coordinating initiatives with management and dependent teams.
    • Maintained a domain of interconnected projects together with the development and infrastructure tooling around them.
